Words Of Wisdom: The Man Who Loves His Job Has Never Worked A Day In His Life!

I’ve been asked this question over and over and the answer is always going to be different for everyone who asks it. It would be impossible for me to give a clear bullet proof answer that would apply to everyone. We all have different levels of experience, skill and ability and I could only come up with a system after spending time with you to find out your drive, abilities and what interests you have in the business.

It isn’t impossible for me to create a system but it would be unique and tailored for each individual.

Since we don’t have the opportunity right now to spend time one on one what I’ll do is the next best thing. It’s difficult to direct you to pick the right approach on getting started in commercial real estate. So where do you go to get it? You have it in your hands right now and over the next few chapters it’s laid out for you step by step and comes with over a decade of lessons of both mistakes and success.
The best answer on where and when to start comes from you. I’ve had students contemplate on getting going while there friend took action and became a millionaire from one deal in a just a couple months.
The quickest and most effective way is to get some basic knowledge of the business on what interests you. This will save you time and a lot of head scratching. The last thing you want to do is get into a mode of “analysis paralysis” this is where people think their way out taking action. Don’t get me wrong healthy skepticism is good but you don’t want to analyze your way out of opportunity.

There are two ways to get educated in this business. The first way is from the school I graduated from and I can tell you the door is always open and the tuition will cost you dearly. It’s the school of hard knocks and not only is it costly the time factor will keep you back in your seat and cause you grief. It’s full of pitfalls and countless issues that compile to the point that not many people make it out with their shirt on. I’ve met a few who have graduated and they’re either hardened from the experience to the point they’re no longer active in the business or they’re still involved but only play once in a great while. Still anyone I’ve ever talked to wouldn’t recommend this way to anyone and only wish they had an easy road to travel.
Good news there is another way! It takes a fraction of the time, way less painful and it doesn’t cost anywhere near the cost to graduate from the school of hard knocks. The door is also always open and anyone with the desire to enroll and can do so regardless of your experience. What exactly am I referring to?
